Love this..
I am so honored to be working with the "Healthy is the New Skinny" campaign (healthyisthenewskinny.com) and will be touring with them and the "Perfectly Unperfected Program" in Seattle early February.
I came across these adds and just loved them. What happened to our media these days? We need to start promoting a more healthy figure for young impressionable girls to look up to. Curves are beautiful ladies!

Indian Summer...
Santa Barbara had a huge heat wave mid October with temperatures reaching up to 100 degrees in the mountains. Not only was the heat on but the waves were too. Needles to say, I was in heaven. After spending all day at the beach in the heat surfing perfect winter waves, I had the honor to do a photoshoot with Rachel Moyer up in the beautiful Santa Barbara mountains.
Rachel is not only an amazing photographer but she's beautiful and so fun to shoot with! Along with us was my good friend and awesome stylist/crazy good artist, Caterina Caligiuri, and their close friend and makeup artist, Denae Farley, who is now one of my favorite makeup artists!!
My lovely sis, Taylor Stanley, also came along for the ride because I pretty much never go anywhere without her.
The clothes are all from Billabongs Fall collection out of their Designers Closet.
Enjoy. xx

Back to my blog..
I have been heavily lagging on my blog posts due to my busy schedule...and now I finally have found some time!
So, this last weekend I participated in the Project Save Our Surf benefit down in Santa Monica alongside some of my close friends,Catherine Clark and Mary Osborne. It was a great event that helped raise awareness in keeping our oceans clean. A life-long worthy cause I will continue to participate in as I spend 80% of my time in the ocean, and it is the least I can do to give back to our Mother Nature.
Heres a little photo from the Event....

On another note I have come across some photos that give me my daily inspiration. ENJOY yourself some beautiful healthy women and eye-catching art. xx

New boards, no wave boredom, and birthday bitches...
I have come to the conclusion this last month that we will never have real waves again, and that is alright because it has been so awesome to be home! I have been keeping busy with afternoon tennis time with the sis, celebrating birthdays for my best friend and myself, attempting to surf in really small waves, and training to get ready for my next comp in Portugal and France at the end of the month.
Just picked up two new boards for France and Portugal and cant wait to try em out!
Thankful for some brotherly help...

Sis about to dominate the con..

Celebrating her last year before hitting the mid-twenties mark....love you

and you...

Down Under and to the West....
The West Coast of Oz is filled with untouched land that makes you feel as if your in the outback country, but also happens to be filled with endless amounts of empty pumping waves. And even though the Bays look open and desolate, rumor has it they are filled with sharks that are often mistaken for whales. So once I was told this I decided surfing alone was most likely a bad idea.
During the Margaret River contest I got to surf some pumping waves in the beginning rounds and not so pumping in the next few rounds, overall I wound up in 13th place and took home a good chunk of prize money and some good points on the QS.
Other than that the last few weeks have been filled with pumping waves, long outback hikes, and snorkeling around some of the most beautiful untouched reefs.

The Land Down Under: NUMERO DOS
The last few weeks have been filled with so much surfing, sun, and fun!! We have been playing at our friend Paige's house, one of the most rad of girls I have ever met. She just recently shaved her head and raised $10,000 dollars for cancer all on her own. Need I say more.
Today we all went jet skiing in front of her lake house and got towed behind on a float called "the hotdog" I have never gotten so worked in my life or laughed that hard ever. Anyways here some photos of what I have been up to the last week or so....if you care...
OHH and HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAIGEY!! Tonight we will celebrate.

The Land Down Under. NUMERO UNO.
Australia is the land down under filled mostly with beauty and charm, two qualities not hard to obtain when you have warm crystal clear blue waters and those darn accents.
Unfortunately, this first contest was not based in the best of locations and the waves were not pumping like I know they can down here! So now that the first contest is over for me, I have some time to explore around this coast and find some good waves.
I am so looking forward to heading over to Margaret River for the next comp where the waves are always pumping and the crowds are to a minimum.
Until then these fun little beach breaks will have to do, and surfing everyday in a bikini, I cant really complain.
Anyways me and my friend Chloe went exploring today due to lack of surf.....enjoy!

Underwater beauty.
I recently came across some amazing underwater photography done by a women named Kelly Kirlin.
I love love anything that has to do with being underwater so naturally her photos caught my eye.
Her images are extremely beautiful and inspiring, and on top of that they are all done with normal
size women.
WHAT. A. REVELATION.
Enjoy

Super Bowl Sunday....
The only thing good about a Super Bowl Sunday is watching hot professional athletic men run around, good food, and beer. So one of my best friends Shaye Collester and I did just that, minus following the actual game. Plus, unless Kim Kardashians ex wants to ask me out on a date, I have no interest in football.
So anyways, here is the aftermath of a sunny Sunday afternoon crafting session.
ENJOY.

Hawaii: The End
For the most part traveling makes me homesick. This time around I was not ready to leave Hawaii. I truly had an amazing time surfing and hanging out with my sister and brother, who both live on the North Shore. We are rarely all three in the same place at one time, so this was really a treat for me.
On one of the last few days out front of the house, where we spent our time away from the surf just bronzing and relaxing, I found myself a giant red balloon. If you know me, you know how much I love kids and I myself am just a little girl at heart still. So I was pleasantly surprised when 5 of the cutest little Australian girls came running my way to claim the balloon I had just found. I wound up spending the rest of my time playing with them and listening in their little accents each tell me all about themselves. Definitely a highlight to my trip.
Here is my giant red balloon before I got it taken away below...

Hope you enjoyed my Hawaiian adventures.

Hawaii: Part DOS
One thing I love about Hawaii is that even if the waves are not pumping, there's always warm and clear water to play in. The last few days Sunset has been the only place rideable, between 6-8 feet Hawaiian and really fun!
Being at home in the cold California weather for so long has really made me appreciate the beautiful warm beaches here, and the tropical sunsets. I surfed Sunset into the dark this afternoon and witnessed a sunset that looked as if you could enter into Heaven, truly breathtaking.
Heres a shot at Sunset in one of the raddest wetsuits I have ever seen by Billabong.

Billabongs NORA one-peice. So cute!!

Hawaii: Part UNO
It has not been 24 hours since one of my best friends Catherine and I arrived on the North Shore and already we feel the California frost bite wearing off. We have traded our 4/3 wetsuit, booties, and hoods at home for Billabongs cute new Surf Series bikinis. Im not so sure which one is more fun: trying on all our new bikinis and deciding which to wear, or actually surfing in them. Well, the second choice is more likely, but we are girls so we get the best of both worlds.
Heres a lil' bit of action from day one.
ENJOY.

The Boat parade of Lights..
This year was the 25th Annual Parade of lights, taking place around the Santa Barbara Wharf. Its theme was “Silver Bells and Winter Swells." With the news of this one of my best friends, Jaisy Hanson, decided it would be a great idea to enter my boat, Cojo, into the Parade. At first I took this as a joke, until I saw the other boats and then things got serious.
So we entered, we decorated, and we paraded the smallest boat out there amongst a flurry of yachts.
This has to be one of the most holiday spirited activities I have ever participate in, needless to say it was a blast!!
Jaisy, setting up/getting her game face on.

Jaisy looking nervous as we await our call to leave the harbor and enter into the open ocean competition.

At the end there was a beautiful explosion of fireworks!

SeaGrass and Cows..
One of my best friends, Cat, and I surfed the Ranch and took in the beauty that CALI delivers daily. Just open your eyes. I promise, its there.

MOO

I swear there are no sharks out there...OH wait..

Cali beauty in human form.

Nautical Adventures...
Recently my dad, Scott, has been showing me the ropes on his boat he handed down to me. After thousands and thousands of dollars put in the boat to repair the engine, it is finally done! Thank you Dad, Tyler, and Drake..
He has been boating for 35 years (on this very boat) to hard to reach dream surf spots up the Northern California Coast and out to the Channel Islands and he wanted me to have the same awesome opportunity.
Today I took him (yes the boat is a boy) out and about. His name is Cojo and I am told it must have that name until it dies...which is NOT going to happen anytime soon.
Let me just say I am in LOVE and I look at Cojo as some-what of my own child....

Today my mom, Arti, was my first mate...she did an OK job.

Some little seals we came across, they look so cute when your not surfing in the water next to them...

Isn't he beautiful?

The CALI Coast is my lake.
Normally flat waves equal boredom but sense I live in one of the most beautiful parts of California I find myself occupying my time just fine. Dont get me wrong, Im counting down the days until the Queen starts breaking again but until then there is a W H O L E lot to do.
One of my best friends, Jaisy Hanson, and I have been hiking around our beautiful coast line in our backyard....

Besides staying physical I think its really important to exercise another part of your body, your BRAIN....So I paint a lot. Thanks to my grandmother who past on her skills long ago. Heres one of my paintings, a Day of the Dead sort of rendition.....
.

I will be posting more of my artwork as well, past and present, it has been a passion of mine for some time now. Hope you enjoy it!!!

Camera Play time....

Returning to Mex
When the summertime hits Santa Barbara, it means its time to start traveling to find waves. My third and final visit to Mexico lead to some of the best waves I've scored all summer. I got to bring one of good friends and fellow surfer, Catherine Clark along for journey as well.

Right before you hit the washboard road, you know your almost to Scorps. You will also see a religious shrine at the beginning of the road. Inside you will find a long black haired womens braid that has been there for god knows how many years.

Here is an outside view
